Stop Now, Act Now: End Muslim Discrimination
Main Discrimination Issues

Workplace Discrimination
Ignorance and lack of education has spurred an onset of workplace discrimination against Muslims. Those who do not understand the religion and believe in the misconceptions will give grief to Muslim coworkers. Many have been unable to obtain a job because of their ethnicity, as well as have been ridiculed, harassed, and forced to take off their traditional Islamic clothing.
Airport Discrimination (Racial Profiling)

Even before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Muslims have faced unjust discrimination and racial profiling in airports. However, since the attacks, airport security has tightened and racial profiling of Muslims has constantly occurred at an even higher rate. Those who appear Muslim, have a "Muslim name", or seem to be associated with the Middle Easy in any way face some of the worst racial profiling. They are picked out from the crowd and forced to allow airport security to do strip searches and intensive questioning. While Muslims do not want to face the humiliation of this discriminatory security, they must and they are forced to sign a waiver that makes it so they cannot press any charges.
Islam/Muslim Monitoring

Monitoring of Muslims and of Islam-related activites, such as mosques and charities, have been conducted by the United States' government even before September eleventh. Based simply on their ethnicity, the privacy rights of all Muslims has been taken away. This relates back to the idea of Good Muslim-Bad Muslim. Within society, there is the notion that "bad Muslims" were responsible for the terrorist attacks and that the "good Muslims" would do anything to clear their name and support America in its war effort. However, society presumes every Muslim is "bad"; forcing them to have to prove otherwise. Not only has this created the discriminatory views of Islam and Muslims, but it also provoked the detention of innocent "bad Muslims" in Guantanamo Bay after the September eleventh attacks. After the attacks, Muslims were taken from their homes and locked up in the prison with no given reasons or trials. Muslim monitoring, based solely on racial profiling, has a tremendous negative effect on all Muslims within the United States
